Weekend RN Supervisor
Job Summary
We’re seeking a dependable and professional Weekend RN Supervisor to join our growing team. This role is essential to maintaining quality resident care and nursing operations during weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Nursing Staff: Assign and delegate duties appropriately based on resident census and staff availability
- Oversee Medication Management: Monitor medication administration and coordinate reorders
- Implement Care Plans: Ensure care plans are followed according to company policy and physician orders
- Provide Direct Care Support: Perform and supervise treatments, and serve as staff nurse as needed
- Manage Documentation: Transcribe physician orders promptly, complete assessments, and maintain accurate records
- Lead Shift Communication: Participate in shift reports and ensure staff are informed of care needs
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce infection control procedures and safe work practices
- Respond to Staffing Needs: Coordinate coverage for staffing shortages
- Oversee Incidents: Investigate variances, contact families, and complete incident reports
- Manage Lab Work: Monitor lab orders, results, and physician follow-up
Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) consecutive hours of work per day during assigned shifts
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Texas
- Strong technical, assessment, and documentation skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- Ability to remain composed during emergencies and manage workflow effectively
- Passion for quality resident care and collaborative team support
