Weekend RN Supervisor (72062)

About the Role

Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the Nursing Services staff on weekends and provide direct nursing care to residents. Ensure compliance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility, as directed by the Director of Nursing Services (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON), to maintain the highest degree of quality care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services staff assigned to you, ensuring their performance aligns with current rules, regulations, and guidelines for long-term care facilities.
• Ensure staff complies with the procedures outlined in the Nursing Services Procedures Manual.
• Verify that staff performs the functions outlined in their respective job descriptions.
• Prepare written and oral reports/recommendations concerning shift activities as required.
• Coordinate with other resident services to maintain the resident’s total regimen of care.
• Interpret department policies and procedures to staff, residents, visitors, and government agencies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must clear a criminal background check, be in good standing with the Louisiana Misconduct Registry, and must not appear on the Office of Inspector General’s (OIG) List of Excluded Individuals/Entities.
• Possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• At least three (3) years of nursing experience in long-term care.
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of computers, including internet, keyboard, and mouse navigation.
• Active RN License (Required).

Schedule

• Every Saturday and Sunday.
• 8-hour shift.
