About The Role

As a Caregiver with Butterfly Home Care of Manassas, you will support individuals in their homes and communities based on their unique needs, preferences, routines, abilities, and personal goals. Depending on the assignment, you may provide companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, and support with errands, appointments, and community activities.

Responsibilities

  • Providing companionship, conversation, and meaningful engagement
  • Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
  • Preparing and serving meals based on individual preferences and dietary needs
  • Assisting with light housekeeping and laundry
  • Providing non-medical medication reminders
  • Assisting with grocery shopping, errands, and appointments
  • Providing transportation for approved activities and appointments
  • Supporting participation in recreational and community activities
  • Encouraging independence and daily living skills
  • Following individualized care plans, service plans, and safety instructions
  • Accurately documenting services provided
  • Communicating changes, concerns, or incidents to the supervisory team
  • Completing other approved care-related duties based on the individual's needs

Qualifications

  • Compassionate, dependable, patient, and professional
  • Personal Care Aide (PCA) certification preferred, but not required
  • Previous caregiving, personal care, direct support, or home care experience preferred
  • Experience supporting aging adults or individuals with disabilities is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Current automobile insurance when required for transportation assignments
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and employment screenings
  • Ability to complete required orientation and training
  • Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Respect for individual choice, privacy, dignity, and cultural differences
  • Ability to safely perform the essential physical responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Pay & Schedule

  • $16–$19 per hour, depending on assignment, qualifications, experience, and level of care
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Paid orientation and training
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities may be available based on current client needs, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Work Location: Care is provided one-on-one in the individual's home and community. Assignments are available throughout Prince William County, Virginia. Caregiver needed for Gainesville area.
