Summary
The Weekend Supervisor is responsible for providing operational oversight, leadership, quality assurance, and staff support for Community Living Services and Residential Services during weekends, holidays, and other designated coverage periods. This position serves as the primary management representative for all weekend operations and is responsible for ensuring continuity of services, Member health and safety, regulatory compliance, staffing coverage, and implementation of person-centered supports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated management representative for all Community Living Services and Residential Services operations during assigned weekend shifts
- Provide overall operational oversight for Supported Living Services, Independent Living Services, Community Living Services, ICF/DD-H facilities, and Community Care Facilities
- Maintain compliance with DDS, Title 17, Community Care Licensing, ICF regulations, HCBS requirements, and agency policies
- Monitor service delivery to ensure Members receive supports consistent with IPPs, ISPs, and health care plans
- Ensure compliance with staffing ratios and Member supervision requirements
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of program operations, documentation, medication administration records, and service delivery practices
- Monitor compliance with regulatory and compliance concerns
- Prepare and submit comprehensive post-shift reports summarizing: Staffing issues and coverage provided, Member incidents and emergencies, Health and safety concerns, Quality assurance findings, Follow-up actions required, Regulatory or compliance concerns
- Maintain ongoing communication with agency leadership regarding significant operational issues
Requirements
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to follow through on a situation to its logical end
- Attention to detail and the ability to use good judgment and make sound decisions relating to the health and safety of the Members served
- Computer proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel, and ability to effectively use Member database and staff scheduling and timekeeping applications
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Willing and able to safely operate Agency vehicles, including an 8-passenger van, as needed
- Access to a vehicle, proof of vehicular insurance, a valid California Driver's License, and a driving record acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier are required
