Weekend Production Supervisor

About the role
This position supervises production operations within assigned areas or shifts, coordinating and assigning activities to ensure production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and P&L results are driven.
Responsibilities
- Supervise workers operating production machinery, assembling items, performing quality control, or packaging goods for shipment.
- Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Meet or surpass daily Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
- Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings to prepare the next shift for success.
- Provide first-level support for any escalated issues during the work shift.
- Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
- Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure SLAs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
- Engage in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
- Assist in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
- Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
- Coordinate the flow of work through the department, ensuring sufficient inventory and staffing to meet demand.
- Provide training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform all other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports.
Requirements
- 1+ years of leadership experience; experience in a materials/distribution environment is preferred.
- Capable problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities with a strategic, results-driven approach.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with effective verbal and written communication.
- Professional customer engagement skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair), or forward logistics.
- Experience supervising temporary staff.
- Experience with UKG and Kronos.
- General knowledge of OSHA Standards.
Education
Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Warehouse environment.
Schedule
Weekend shift: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, Saturday – Sunday.
Pay
Weekly pay every Thursday, plus a monthly incentive bonus.
