Weekend Production Operator

Responsibilities

• Total commitment to working safe and following all safety rules and regulations
• Safely operate equipment and conduct housekeeping activities in each assigned area
• Feed product or place product onto equipment for processing or remove items after processing
• Interpret work instructions and successfully complete tasks as assigned
• Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills
• Communicate with team members and leadership to improve safety and operating performance as well as meet job expectations
• Work night and weekend shifts as required by production schedules
• Willingness to learn and perform multiple job duties in both the sawmill and planer mill areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and physical required
• Must be able to work overtime, holidays, night shifts, and rotating shifts
• Able to work in extreme temperatures, in dusty and noisy conditions, while wearing safety equipment
• Able to complete forklift training
• Able to work safely around moving manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Able to lift 2-20 pounds regularly, climb steps and ladders, work from heights, and stand or walk for 2—3 hours at a time for 10 hours
• Forklift experience is preferred
• Basic computer skills a plus

Starting rate: $24.05
Topping out rate: $29.54
Night Shift Differential: $1.00
