Weekend Patient Care Tech

Available opportunities:

• Non-Benefits Eligible: 2 or 4 weekends per month, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Benefits Eligible: 3 or 4 weekends per month, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Part Time: 8-hour shifts (2:45 PM – 11:15 PM) with an every 4th weekend rotation, 20 hours per week

About the role

As a Patient Care Technician at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, you will work collaboratively with nurses to provide integral care and treatment to patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, taking vital signs, performing Accu-Cheks, phlebotomy, EKGs, and other nursing assistant duties.

Requirements

• Previous experience in delivery of patient services preferred
• Phlebotomy experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Some college coursework preferred

Training

Mandatory 3-week training program (3 weekdays per week).

Licensures & Certifications

• BLS Healthcare Provider certification preferred on hire; required prior to completion of unit orientation

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• 8-hour shifts (2:45 PM – 11:15 PM) with an every 4th weekend rotation
