Weekend & Night Shift Security Supervisor

About the role
Reno is growing fast, and nights and weekends are when it matters most. We're looking for a dedicated Weekend & Night Shift Supervisor to own coverage during the hours when things are most likely to go sideways — call‑outs, one‑off projects, and field issues that can't wait until Monday. You'll be the clear point of contact for dispatch, for guards in the field, and for branch leadership during your shift, so nothing falls through the cracks after hours.
Responsibilities
- Coverage & Response: Ensure zero dark posts — every contracted post is staffed; respond to call‑outs and confirm replacement coverage in under 20 minutes; own emergency staffing decisions for one‑off projects (fire watches, special events, short‑notice coverage) without waiting for next‑business‑day approval.
- Field Presence: Visit posts and accounts in person during your shift to confirm guards meet uniform, post‑order, and engagement standards; verify patrol hits are completed on schedule and fully documented, including photo requirements.
- Timekeeping & Documentation: Catch and correct timekeeping discrepancies in real time; log every significant event of your shift in Belfry before you leave (guard performance issues, client contact, call‑outs, and resolutions); maintain documentation that holds up under review for disputes, complaints, or claims.
- Escalation & Communication: Serve as the single point of contact for dispatch and branch leadership on nights and weekends; decide when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate, acting quickly.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience supervising security, guard, or field operations staff (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between Reno‑area accounts.
- Nevada PILB registration (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Skills
- Comfortable making staffing and response decisions independently under pressure without a script.
- Strong documentation habits — clear, factual, and timely.
Pay
$50,000 per year base salary plus performance bonus.
Benefits
- Direct reporting line to the Reno General Manager.
- Real ownership of a standing role — not a temporary fix or catch‑all position.
Schedule
Full‑time position with weekend and night shifts, including holidays; travel to Reno‑area accounts as needed.
