Weekend Member Services Representative

About the role

We are searching for a Weekend Member Services Representative to join our team at Planet Fitness. You will provide a superior level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests, ensuring an exceptional 'Judgement Free' member experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests, providing exceptional customer service and making them feel comfortable and welcomed!
• Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.
• Check members in, tour and sign up new members, log amenities and communicate updates and events to members and guests.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct beverage or merchandise purchases on the point of sale system.
• Utilize POS system to assist with new membership cards, change of address and billing or payment questions.
• Go above and beyond to keep the front desk area and lobby clean and orderly.
• Regularly clean and maintain the club, including mopping up spills under equipment, trash removal, cleaning windows and mirrors, and re-racking weights.
• Clean all exercise equipment and tanning beds.
• Clean regular restroom and wet areas and restock supplies.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A customer service background is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.
• A passion for fitness and health is essential.
• An upbeat and positive attitude is necessary.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Exceptional customer service skills are required, including the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers, exceeding their expectations.
• A strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve is needed.
• Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Physical Demands/Requirements

• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
