Compensation: $20.50/hour + $1.05 shift differential
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Move or transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.
- Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Report quantity variances.
- Organize and secure stored materials such as cases, boxes, raw materials, pallets, etc.
- Load or unload materials manually, off or on pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
- Perform routine pre- and post-inspections to ensure forklift equipment is in suitable working condition.
- Report any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or safety hazards to supervisor.
- Consult, work, and coordinate with supervisors regarding loading operations.
- Wrap finished goods with a wrapper when required.
- Scan all materials being transferred using the RF System.
- Complete annual forklift operator training provided by the company.
- Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Safety & GMP Objectives
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with established policies and procedures.
- Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
- Comply with all company safety and environmental policies and procedures, as well as OSHA, EPA, and other regulations (THINK “SAFETY FIRST”).
- Recognize unsafe acts and conditions in the facility and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Complete all required paperwork related to job functions, quality, and safety/training.
- Complete all annual training.
- Recognize and report all incidents, even those that do not warrant treatment.
- Review and execute the Food Safety Plan and MFP Mission Statement to provide value to customers with safe, relevant, tasty food products without compromising quality.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices (GMPs), including proper waste disposal, attire, grooming, and hygiene.
Requirements
- Must be able to attend work as scheduled (schedules are subject to change).
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be able to perform basic math problems.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a routine basis and climb stairs.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to interact with others in a professional manner.
This position is supported by other Forklift Operators on site and/or a direct supervisor.
