The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, including PLC controls, pneumatic, hydraulic, and motor systems. They analyze equipment performance, perform repairs, and implement programming changes to enhance production reliability. Proficiency in ladder logic programming, especially with Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000), is essential. The role involves documenting repairs using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems, maintaining program backups, and evaluating new equipment under operational conditions. Skills in basic Servo controls, VFD setup, motor troubleshooting, and using digital multimeters are required. Candidates should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and preferably an associate’s degree in a technical field. Additional requirements include obtaining forklift and aerial platform licenses, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Key duties include monitoring equipment for hazards, discussing performance issues with technical staff, and supporting troubleshooting across the plant.
