The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure reliability and optimal performance. Analyze equipment functioning, identify hazards, and perform repairs or replacements of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.Proficiently use ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500 and 5000) and maintain program backups.Utilize work order systems to document repairs and preventive maintenance activities.Perform troubleshooting on servo controls, variable frequency drives, motors, and electrical devices.Assist with electrical troubleshooting and provide PLC support across the plant.Evaluate equipment performance, check newly installed systems, and collaborate with technical staff on machine improvements.Maintain knowledge of basic motor operations, set points, and parameters, using digital multimeters. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of related experience.Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred.Ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses.Experience with Enterprise Asset Management software and Microsoft Office Suite. The role involves working Friday to Sunday, 6:00am - 6:00pm, with training on day shifts before transitioning to evening shifts.
