Weekend Controls Technician

The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems. They analyze equipment performance, diagnose issues using electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components, and perform repairs to ensure production reliability. Proficiency in ladder logic programming, particularly with Allen Bradley platforms (RS Logix 500/5000), is essential. The role involves documenting repairs via work order systems, maintaining program backups, and evaluating new equipment under actual operating conditions. Skills in basic servo controls, VFD setup, motor troubleshooting, and using digital multimeters are required. The technician collaborates with maintenance and the Custom Equipment Process Group to improve machinery, providing PLC support across the plant. Qualifications include at least 2 years of related experience, an associate’s degree in a technical field (preferred), and the ability to obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses. Proficiency in enterprise asset management software and Microsoft Office is also expected.
