Weekend Controls Technician

About the role

The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure reliability and optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze equipment issues and perform repairs
• Update PLC programs and maintain backups
• Monitor equipment for hazards
• Document maintenance activities using Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software
• Assist with troubleshooting electrical problems across the plant

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of related experience
• Associate's degree in a technical field (preferred)
• Ability to operate digital multimeters, servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors

Skills

• Proficiency in ladder logic programming on the Allen Bradley platform (RS Logix 500/5000)
• Use of Microsoft Office
• Ability to obtain forklift/aerial platform licenses
• Collaboration with maintenance and process groups
• Technical expertise, problem-solving, and teamwork
