Weekend Controls Technician

About the role

The Weekend Controls Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and PLC systems, to ensure optimal reliability.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing equipment performance and performing repairs
• Making programming adjustments using ladder logic on the Allen Bradley platform (RS Logix 500/5000)
• Working closely with maintenance teams
• Documenting repairs using Enterprise Asset Management software
• Evaluating new equipment under operating conditions
• Setting up and troubleshooting servo controls, variable frequency drives, and motors
• Maintaining program backups
• Supporting plant-wide PLC issues

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Associate's degree in a technical field (preferred)
• Proficiency with digital multimeters, Microsoft Office, and work order systems
• Must obtain forklift and aerial platform licenses
