Weekend companion needed in Cape Coral

Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a fun, compassionate, and dependable caregiver committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence.

About the role

Support a young male with personal hygiene tasks and supervision during community outings. This position is offered on an independent contractor basis.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support the individual during home activities
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks
• Prepare meals and perform light cleaning
• Ensure the individual’s safety and maintain a safe living environment
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, grocery shopping, and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

$16.00 hourly

Schedule

Saturday or Sunday, 9 hours per day, flexible schedule.
