About the role

As a Home Health Aide / Caregiver, you will provide compassionate assistance with daily needs and personal care. Adhering to a customized care plan, you will ensure clients feel supported, safe, and comfortable in their homes at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Personal Care Assistance (ADLs): Assist with hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, mouth and skin care, and toileting.
  • Mobility Support: Help clients transfer and move safely using wheelchairs, walkers, gait belts, or hoyer lift/sit-to-stand.
  • Meal Preparation: Plan and cook nutritious meals according to client preferences and needs.
  • Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take their medications safely and on schedule.
  • Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversation and activities to support emotional well-being.
  • Specialized Monitoring: Provide specialized observation and care for clients living with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
  • Transportation & Errands: Drive clients to doctor appointments, grocery stores, or beauty salons using your vehicle or the client’s vehicle.
  • Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean living space by vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, gathering trash, changing bed linens, and doing light laundry.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass a state background check.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with valid auto insurance.
  • Have at least 6+ months of previous work history.
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
