Weekend Assistant Tech - Part Time Available - Paid Weekly

Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing procedures using specialized equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in electronic equipment.
  • Solder equipment to repair, modify, and change parts, by using both surface mount and thru-hole methods.
  • Disassemble and reassemble electronic devices.
  • Comply with quality performance standards.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Ensure adherence to warehouse safety regulations, including compliance with ESD guidelines.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Skilled in the operation of test equipment.
  • Capable of utilizing repair tools including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, and soldering irons.
  • Able to perform both surface mount and thru-hole soldering techniques, as well as operate automated repair equipment (BGA machine).
  • Proficient in soldering and de-soldering techniques.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
  • Proficiency in computer skills required for precise data entry of completed units.
  • Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Weekend Shift: 7:00AM - 6:00PM, Saturday - Sunday

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Warehouse/distribution center environment.
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary.
  • The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.
  • The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary.

An Assistant Technician inspects the functions of electronic devices, monitors test procedures and utilizes appropriate equipment in a warehouse environment. In this role, you will provide services to the world’s largest telecommunications and cable providers. Ideal candidates are technically minded and quality focused.
