Weblogic Administrator

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation, documentation and guidance during infrastructure upgrades.
• Provide support and consultation for disaster recovery exercises.
• Perform monitoring assessment and develop monitoring/productivity tools to proactively manage and troubleshoot the infrastructure.
• Interact with other teams, such as application code development teams or network team, to determine root cause of incidents and resolve them according to established Service Level Agreements.
• Contribute to the professional development, training, and performance programs of members within the team, including documentation.

Requirements

• Experienced in Installation, configuration and tuning of Weblogic Application Servers in large scale environments
• Expertise in Clustering, Load Balancing, Scripting, Connection Pools, Thread management, logs etc.
• Experience in analyzing the various server logs and thread dumps to perform Root Cause Analysis
• Manage and configure database connections, through Java Database connectivity (JDBC) data-sources, and JDBC pools
• Experienced in integrating with WebSphere MQ using JMS
• Configure and deploy application code sets in various formats including EAR, WAR, and JAR files
• Should be able to use WLST / Unix scripts to automate routine WebLogic tasks
• Networking/TCP/IP knowledge required
• Experience with WebSphere 7 and 8 required
• Experience integrating with external authentication products desired
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Introscope, Splunk desired
