Responsibilities
- Provide consultation, documentation and guidance during infrastructure upgrades.
- Provide support and consultation for disaster recovery exercises.
- Perform monitoring assessment and develop monitoring/productivity tools to proactively manage and troubleshoot the infrastructure.
- Interact with other teams, such as application code development teams or network team, to determine root cause of incidents and resolve them according to established Service Level Agreements.
- Contribute to the professional development, training, and performance programs of members within the team, including documentation.
Requirements
- Experienced in Installation, configuration and tuning of Weblogic Application Servers in large scale environments
- Expertise in Clustering, Load Balancing, Scripting, Connection Pools, Thread management, logs etc.
- Experience in analyzing the various server logs and thread dumps to perform Root Cause Analysis
- Manage and configure database connections, through Java Database connectivity (JDBC) data-sources, and JDBC pools
- Experienced in integrating with WebSphere MQ using JMS
- Configure and deploy application code sets in various formats including EAR, WAR, and JAR files
- Should be able to use WLST / Unix scripts to automate routine WebLogic tasks
- Networking/TCP/IP knowledge required
- Experience with WebSphere 7 and 8 required
- Experience integrating with external authentication products desired
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Introscope, Splunk desired
