Webber - Work Zone Barricade Servicer - Heavy Civil
Job Description
Assist Foreman and skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties under close supervision. Assist the foreman in aspects of traffic control, i.e., road striping, pavement marking, and the fabrication and installation of all types of temporary and permanent signs and traffic control devices.
- Fabricates, erects and maintains temporary traffic control devices, including arrow boards, signs, barricades, channelizing devices, barrels and all message boards.
- May operate a truck during traffic control operations.
- Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
- Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
- Uses power tools and air tools.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Moves throughout a construction jobsite which includes minor obstacles including climbing ladders and inclines, operating heavy equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- Reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provides leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

Education
Less than High School Diploma.
Experience
At least 1-2 years related traffic control experience preferred.
Physical Activity Level
Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
Manual Dexterity
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Working Conditions
- Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.).
- Work Environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
- The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
- The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/ or precarious places.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
