Web Systems Developer

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain web and client/server applications.
• Interface with external services like Qualtrics and Twilio.
• Develop and maintain WordPress-based API endpoints.
• Develop custom WordPress plug-ins for added functionality.
• Integrate report generation and provide usage statistics.
• Ensure data security and ADA compliance.
• Provide technical advice and consultation to less experienced staff.
• Coordinate projects with other technical staff and subject matter experts.
• Evaluate new application development technologies and recommend solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
• CSWAE (or similar) application security certification.
• 4 years of web-based application development experience, including:
• Survey management systems/processes in an academic research environment.
• WordPress-based API endpoints in an enterprise environment.
• Custom WordPress plug-ins for added functionality.
• Integration with Qualtrics survey APIs.
• Development and remediation of applications to meet WCAG accessibility standards.

Modes of Work

Positions eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and can be changed at any time.
