About the role

The Web Specialist is an integral member of the digital marketing team who collaborates cross-functionally to design, develop, and maintain websites and digital experiences that engage patients, caregivers, and internal teams. This person is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable making design and technical decisions while ensuring all digital solutions align with organizational goals, standards, and user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Website and Digital Properties
    • Maintain and update all websites for LifeBridge Health, including customer-facing digital properties and internal tools/intranets.
    • Manage and update website content via CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, etc.), ensuring content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with marketing campaigns.
    • Coordinate with clients and key stakeholders to gather information, design, develop, and measure digital experiences.
    • Simplify complex data through easy-to-navigate digital experiences.
    • Ensure websites are accessible, optimized for speed, and meet regulatory and compliance standards (HIPAA, WCAG, etc.).
    • Balance creativity with practical constraints (e.g., resources, timelines) to meet user needs and business objectives.
    • Collaborate with designers and marketers to translate creative concepts into seamless user experiences across devices.
  • Analyze and Optimize
    • Review web traffic analytics (Google Analytics, SCO, Accessibility Standards, Freshpaint, etc.) to understand user behavior, identify patterns, and measure performance.
    • Work with Service Lines and corporate clients to make content and website recommendations based on user experience, best practices, and first-party data.
    • Build dashboards and generate reports on website performance.
    • Serve as SEO expert using tools like Google Search Console and BrightEdge to improve keyword rankings.
    • Leverage user experience data to iterate and improve digital experiences.
  • Collaborate and Communicate
    • Engage with internal teams (marketing, IT, content, etc.) to integrate digital assets and campaigns seamlessly.
    • Work with back-end developers and IT to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and enhance website performance.
    • Communicate technical concepts and design solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Develop processes and workflows, partnering with Marketing Project Management to handle job requests efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor and review digital experiences of regional competitors.
    • Stay up-to-date with web development trends, technologies, and best practices.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize and improve web user experience based on analytics, feedback, and industry advancements.
    • Understand healthcare compliance rules and best practices to protect user privacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of professional experience in web design and development, with a strong portfolio of responsive websites and applications.
  • Proven experience working in healthcare-related websites or understanding of healthcare-specific regulations (HIPAA, ADA, WCAG) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in front-end Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.).
  • Familiarity with back-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Experience with web analytics, SEO best practices, and website performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Experience integrating digital tools into website functionality (domains, plugins, third-party tools, and services).
