Web Software Development Director

Responsibilities

• Managing and mentoring development managers and teams
• Driving agile (SAFe/Scrum) practices
• Partnering closely with Web Experience, Architecture, and QA leadership to optimize flow, quality, and delivery
• Fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture through hiring, coaching, and training
• Establishing best practices, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Building strong cross-functional relationships
• Maintaining industry awareness and making thoughtful technology recommendations
• Operating with integrity, sound judgment, and minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (typically expected)
• 6+ years of management experience, including 4+ years leading managers or equivalent
• 5+ years of project management experience
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence outcomes, and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Strong people and project management expertise

About the department

Mouser is an e-commerce business with 60% of the company's revenue and 70%+ of orders being transacted on its websites. Selling more than 8 million products from 1200 suppliers, in two dozen languages, to hundreds of thousands of customers, in more than 100 countries, the Internet Business department is required to design, build and host our own systems as commercial platforms are inadequate. The Internet Business department includes teams devoted to Product Data, Website Experience, Site Development, Architecture & Platforms, Quality & Automation and Operations & Infrastructure. We share responsibility for sales with our global customer support team so we are part of the business in addition to being a technical department.
