About the role
Aquent is partnering with Marketbridge, a leading organization known for its innovative approach to digital experiences. This role involves maintaining the smooth functioning and continuous improvement of a critical online platform, directly impacting the company’s digital presence and operational efficiency. You will own the day-to-day operational backlog, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with teams to deliver website enhancements and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the operational website backlog, ensuring tasks are prioritized and addressed efficiently.
- Oversee the team’s workflow board, guiding work through the delivery process to maintain momentum and ensure timely execution.
- Intake and triage incoming requests from various internal systems, ensuring clear understanding and proper categorization.
- Review and groom incoming work to meet the team’s “definition of ready” before proceeding to development.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, answer questions, and facilitate request progression.
- Lead operational backlog management efforts alongside an Agile development team to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in daily standups, backlog refinement sessions, and planning meetings as the operational lead.
- Coordinate with developers, the Scrum Master, and internal stakeholders to keep website enhancements on track.
- Manage ongoing website maintenance requests, content updates, compliance-driven changes, legal updates, and other operational tasks.
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for stakeholders, managing communications and escalating strategic decisions as needed.
- Proactively identify and champion opportunities to enhance operational processes and backlog management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hands-on, operational product-focused role supporting web platforms.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Kanban.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a dynamic operational backlog.
- Experience with intake and triage processes for incoming work requests.
- Proficiency in grooming work items to meet a “definition of ready” for development teams.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with stakeholders, development teams, and leadership.
- Experience participating in Agile ceremonies (standups, refinement, planning).
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks, including maintenance, content updates, and compliance-driven changes.
- Proactive problem-solver with an eye for process improvement and efficiency gains.
