Job Summary
The Strategic Relations and Communications Department at CU Boulder invites applications for a Web Operations (WebOps) & Automation Engineer. This position works within a cross-functional team to empower campus departments with a robust, modern web platform. The ideal candidate enjoys "infrastructure as code" and wants to help bridge the gap between development and stable production environments.
What You Will Need
- 1+ years of experience in a DevOps, WebOps, or System Administration role.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
- A combination of education and related experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
- Familiarity with Git and a desire to automate manual tasks.
What We Require
- Experience with managed hosting platforms (specifically Pantheon).
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions or automated testing suites like Playwright.
- Familiarity with cloud-native concepts (even if you aren't managing the clusters yourself).

Essential Services
This position is designated “essential/critical services.” The incumbent is required to respond to requests for work during campus emergencies (snow, wind, rain, flood and any other natural or man-made event) and report to work for regularly assigned shifts during emergency campus closures.
