Web First Press Operator

About the role

The Web First Press Operator is responsible for operating web press machines and will play an essential leadership role, assisting in directing the work activities of the press team members to ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment
• Guide crew to meet and exceed production standards
• Provide ongoing training and development of team members
• Promote, enforce, and sustain safety while identifying ways to improve operations
• Assist Supervisors in providing feedback for employee evaluations
• Facilitate teamwork on crews and between shifts
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator preferred
• Ability to lead and foster growth and development on the team
• Knowledgeable of press set-up and maintenance procedures
• Effective communication skills with all levels within the organization
• Basic computer skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety-oriented
• Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
