Web First Press Operator

About the role

The Web First Press Operator is a leadership position responsible for operating web press machines and directing the work activities of the press team to ensure productivity, quality, and safety goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain web presses and all auxiliary equipment
• Guide crew to meet and exceed production standards
• Provide ongoing training and development for team members
• Promote, enforce, and sustain safety while identifying operational improvements
• Assist supervisors in providing feedback for employee evaluations
• Facilitate teamwork on crews and between shifts
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience as a multicolor web press operator (preferred)
• Ability to lead and foster growth and development on the team
• Knowledgeable of press set-up and maintenance procedures
• Effective communication skills with all levels within the organization
• Basic computer skills
• Self-motivated, reliable, and quality/safety-oriented
• Ability to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
