Web Developer, Mid

Leads the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of a major website. Applies advanced skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Works independently and mentors or may supervise team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain a major website
• Write source code for new applications or review, generate, and enhance code samples for existing applications or software
• Work across both front-end and back-end development, including user interfaces, middleware, services, and APIs, to deliver complete solutions
• Resolve workflow problems through automation optimization
• Acquire client requirements and address complex problems within a collaborative team environment

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing websites or web applications
• 5+ years of experience using JavaScript and PHP
• Knowledge of database systems and MySQL
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or 8+ years of experience in Web Development or Software Engineering in lieu of a degree

Nice to Have

• Experience using content management systems, such as Joomla
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira or Confluence
• Experience with front-end frameworks and fundamentals, such as HTML, CSS, responsive design, and accessibility
• Knowledge of CMS plug-ins and extensions
• Knowledge of building, enhancing, web applications, or APIs

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

• Remote: Primarily virtual, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility as required.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with additional visits to customer facilities as needed.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
