About the role

Digi International seeks a skilled Web Platform Developer to join our dynamic team. Since 1985, we've been pioneers in wireless communication, serving a broad spectrum of IoT applications. Our responsibilities include developing and maintaining our corporate website and digital platforms, building backend services, extending CMS capabilities, and automating workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain components of Digi’s corporate website and digital platforms using modern web technologies.
  • Build backend services and APIs that support web functionality, integrations, and data collection.
  • Extend CMS and web platform capabilities through custom development and system integrations.
  • Maintain clean, well-documented, and scalable code.
  • Build and maintain integrations between the website and enterprise platforms including CRM systems, analytics platforms, marketing automation tools, and AI services.
  • Develop automation workflows that reduce manual processes and improve digital platform reliability.
  • Implement data collection and instrumentation that supports analytics and reporting.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Help manage and improve the AI tool environment used by the digital team.
  • Develop structured prompts, workflows, and documentation to ensure AI tools are used in a repeatable and controlled development process.
  • Evaluate and test new AI tools that improve development efficiency.
  • Monitor website performance and system integrations.
  • Identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to platform scalability and performance.
  • Participate in structured testing and optimization initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and backend development concepts.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools or generative AI platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to document solutions and create structured development workflows.

Qualifications

  • Experience with server-side development using technologies such as C#, .NET, or Node.js (desired but not required).
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress or Drupal.
  • Exposure to SQL databases.
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs.

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and backend development concepts.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools or generative AI platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to document solutions and create structured development workflows.

This role offers hands-on experience building AI-assisted software development workflows, exposure to Digi’s IoT and connectivity technology platforms, mentorship from experienced engineering and digital platform leaders, and a competitive Total Rewards package including a short-term incentive program, new hire stock award, paid parental leave, open (uncapped) PTO, and hybrid work environment. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $63,000 – $99,000.
