Summary Of Responsibilities
- Creates and maintains Institutional Advancement and all supporting/related web pages, components, and sites using content management systems (CMS), raw code, scripts, and frameworks.
- Works with web tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, code editors, CMS backend, scripting languages, and others.
- Works on developing a dashboard to quantify website pages and overall engagement.
- Works closely with Advancement Services and other related areas to ensure cross-browser compatibility and system integrations, maintains and improves customer service relationships with all members of institutional advancement for their web needs.
- Works with the central university web team to collaborate on web systems architecture and organization.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
- Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor's degree in a related field plus one year of related experience; OR Associate's degree in a related field plus three years of experience related to the essential functions/duties of the position OR any combination of higher education and experience directly related to the essential functions/duties totaling five years.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree + 1 Year experience or Associate Degree + 3 Years.
- Licenses or Certifications: Successful completion of in-house assessment of job-related skills (within 60 days of hire).
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Knowledge: Experience with web design concepts and how front and backend technologies impact the web site design process.
- Skills: Experience with front-end solutions including HTML/CSS templates, responsive/adaptive design, JavaScript/jQuery and AJAX code, and rich media production and integration.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS template builds from design documentation for integration into interactive desktop and mobile websites, web applications and software-based GUIs.
- Experience with documentation of user-centric design methodologies, style guides, web standards, and web technologies/languages best practices.
- Experience with facilitating usability testing and review of usability testing results.
- Experience creating and maintaining web solutions using AJAX, PHP, XML, JSON, etc.
- Experience with SEO principles and implementation standards.
- Experience streamlining site architecture and structures.
- Experience creating and maintaining strategies for web analytics and web usage reporting.
