Web Developer I
UF Information Technology (UFIT) is seeking an entry-level Web Developer I to join Web Services in Academic Technology. Web Services supports the University’s web presence by administering content management systems, developing theme resources and minor applications, reviewing and updating existing sites, migrating content, and producing graphical elements.

Responsibilities
- Problem-solving web-related requests from stakeholders around campus
- Remediating WCAG accessibility violations
- Developing reusable web components
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or an associate degree and two years of experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, communications, or a web-related field
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize a variety of web information and technical tools to apply web developing trends within the organizational infrastructure
- Knowledge of collaborative techniques and ability to promote a culture of information sharing and working together to solve business problems and meet business goals
- Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions
- Understanding of the necessity of continuous personal growth; ability to gauge one’s strengths, limitations, and interests, and use of this knowledge for purposes of performance effectiveness and self-development
- Knowledge of and ability to research, identify, and apply formal disciplines and best practices for improving the quality and costs related to product development

$61,000/year
This position is located in Gainesville, FL, and is not eligible for remote work or work visa sponsorship. A Level 2 Criminal Background Screening is required.
