Web Developer

Grant funded position. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required; visa sponsorship is not available. Travel up to 25% of the time may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location and must be located in or willing to relocate to New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, and support custom websites using Microsoft .NET, .NET Core, and MSSQL.
• Design robust databases and website schemas.
• Engage in all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including architectural specification, design, programming, quality assurance, testing, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
• Analyze website performance, identify and correct deficiencies, and resolve Tier 3 technical support issues.
• Collaborate with co-workers, management, and other departments to employ advanced analysis and design techniques (including case analysis and object modeling).
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
• Research and recommend emerging software development technologies and methodologies.
• Develop and implement new business processes to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
• Perform other appropriate, related duties as assigned.

This position will become eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of onsite and remote work) after a waiting period of approximately 3-6 months, subject to satisfactory job performance, management approval, and operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and three years of experience in website design, development, and maintenance; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience.
• A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
• Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables.
• Residency within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in full-stack development utilizing C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Extensive experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Razor, ADO.NET, jQuery, Vue.js, Angular, and AJAX.
• Strong understanding of MVC and client-server architectural patterns.
• Hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Visual Studio IDE, and ActiveReports.

Pay

Annual salary range: $90,320.00. Positions with a designated work location in New York City, Nassau, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester Counties will receive a $4,000 annual downstate adjustment (pro-rated for part-time positions).
