About the Role

The Web & Digital Marketing Designer at Princess House plays a vital role in shaping the digital presence of the company. Reporting to the Web & Digital Marketing Manager, this position is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining engaging web content and user interfaces across multiple platforms, including desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. The role involves approximately 80% focus on web design projects, including creating wireframes, prototypes, and responsive HTML/CSS, and 20% on web content production and site maintenance. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, IT, and creative services to enhance user experience, accessibility, and brand consistency. This position requires a proactive approach to staying current with emerging web technologies, UX best practices, and accessibility standards to continuously improve digital assets and ensure they align with Princess House’s brand guidelines and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, edit, and optimize existing eCommerce and Consultant's Corner websites using Sitefinity CMS, ensuring content accuracy and timely updates
  • Design and develop responsive user interfaces and web pages that enhance usability, accessibility, and overall user experience
  • Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and reusable design components in Figma to support new digital initiatives and web enhancements
  • Collaborate with web designers, developers, marketing, and other stakeholders to plan, review, and refine UI/UX designs, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
  • Translate mobile-first designs into clean, responsive HTML/CSS code, utilizing frameworks like Bootstrap
  • Provide detailed design specifications and responsive UI development support to back-end developers, troubleshooting implementation issues as needed
  • Conduct regular reviews of website content to identify outdated or incorrect information and recommend usability improvements
  • Stay informed about emerging web technologies, UX trends, accessibility standards, and modern design tools to continuously improve digital assets
  • Participate in creative and marketing meetings, contributing ideas to enhance digital campaigns and website functionality
  • Assist with on-call web messaging support for consultants, ensuring timely and effective communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Development, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of website design and front-end development experience
  • Fluency in responsive HTML and CSS, with proficiency in Bootstrap framework
  • Strong knowledge of graphic creation, manipulation, and web optimization tools
  • Experience with Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and design component creation
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Acrobat)
  • Experience working with Content Management Systems such as Sitefinity, Drupal, or WordPress (preferred)
  • Knowledge of email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or Constant Contact (preferred)
  • Understanding of UX principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and mobile-first design methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to interpret and implement feedback effectively
