About the role

Slamdot, located in the beautiful Northshore Village in Knoxville, TN, was founded in 2005 with the belief that website design and digital marketing should be straightforward and approachable. We provide small businesses with website design packages, digital marketing services, web hosting, and more. We’ve made web design and digital marketing easy and affordable, but most of all, we’ve taken the mystery and confusion out of it for the customer. No buzzwords, no unclear pricing, and no unfair contracts. Quite simply, we do digital differently, and our customers love us for it. This position will be based in Knoxville, TN. Job may require sitting for extended periods of time with occasional walking and standing and occasionally lifting or carrying articles weighing less than 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Setting up new customer websites and hosting accounts
• Creating and managing content through WordPress
• Helping customers setup and configure email programs
• Meeting with customers about their website or hosting service
• Troubleshooting customer issues via our ticket system
• Working with customers to gather and optimize their content
• Assisting customers with making changes to their website
• Following up with customers about their website's progress
• Optimizing customer-supplied content for search engines
• Formatting customers' content with HTML and CSS
• Creating and managing social media accounts for customers

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience working with WordPress
• Proficient with social networking sites
• Experience with image editing software
• Excellent eye for design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service manners
• Strong ability to multi-task
• Office management skills
• Good writing skills
