Web Content Editor

About the Role

Web Content Editors are responsible for the ongoing organization and curation of the product information contained within the Kroger Customer Facing Item Catalog (CFIC), which can be viewed directly by customers using Kroger’s Online Shopping capability. This hybrid position requires working in our Corporate Office at least one half-day per week based on your team’s schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all items are set up within the PIM system supporting the digital presentation of products at the Kroger Company, including:
  • Item validation, including setting the proper Customer Facing Taxonomy (Department, Commodity, and Sub-Commodity)
  • Setting operational attributes to support the item selection process
  • Writing compelling product marketing messages and descriptions
• Create and update Microsoft Office documents and spreadsheets
• Create and update common files for use in reports
• Assist in providing support for internal databases
• Prepare and distribute weekly, period, and quarterly reports
• Update various team SharePoint sites to track item progress throughout the process
• Coordinate efforts with multiple departments and Kroger suppliers as necessary

Requirements

• 4-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Degree in English, Communications, Advertising, or Marketing preferred
• Experience working in the grocery industry preferred
• Capacity to learn multiple computer systems and web-based applications
• Strong communication skills and diplomacy in interacting with people
• Able to interact effectively with cross-functional teams to accomplish common goals
• Experience with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
• Ability to collaborate with others and contribute effectively to a team
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize, and multi-task

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain standing or sitting for several hours at a time
• Must be able to lift 10-30 lbs. occasionally

• Administrative support position in an office environment
• Retail or grocery experience
