About the role

Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composites technology, is seeking a Web Coating Line Operator 1 at its Amesbury, MA location.

Responsibilities

• Consistently demonstrate proficiency and understanding in the use of defect logs, job tickets and daily production schedule.
• Work in conjunction with team members in support of the manufacturing process and production schedule.
• Responsible for cycle counting as well as consumption of raw materials to ensure accurate inventory.
• Setup and breakdown of coating line.
• Quality control of products using measuring devices.
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting non-conforming material.
• Proactively participate in our safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, required.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow written directions.
• The ability to stand 8 hours per day.
• Manual dexterity.
• Legible handwriting and good verbal and written communication skills.
• To follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPEs, safe ergonomic practices, and proper handling of chemicals.
• Excellent vision for spotting defects within the coating process, raw materials, and final product.
• Basic mathematical skills with the ability to convert to/from square to linear feet.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Must be able to read and perform basic measurements and mathematical equations.
• This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. government contract regulations.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Range: $23.00-$26.75 per hour
1st shift (Monday-Friday) 7:00PM-3:30PM
