About the role

The Web Applications Engineer III, Java position at KP Digital focuses on the development of internet applications and software tools. This includes working with product teams to understand and contribute to defining the product vision, developing and supporting end-to-end solutions, and performing hands-on development of cloud applications, CMS, and integration solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work assignments by applying up-to-date knowledge in subject area to meet deadlines; following procedures and policies, and applying data and resources to support projects or initiatives;
  • Collaborates with others, often cross-functionally, to solve business problems;
  • Supports the completion of priorities, deadlines, and expectations;
  • Communicates progress and information;
  • Identifies and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities when possible;
  • Escalates issues or risks as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field and two (2) years experience in software development or a related field. Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience developing and/or implementing web-based applications.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience working with web application frameworks (e.g., Angular, HTML5, CSS, GraphQL, etc.).
  • One (1) year experience in developing and utilizing cloud based technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • One (1) year experience developing micro services and APIs (e.g., Java, Node.js, NoSQL DBs, etc.).
