RemoteRemoteEngineeringVolunteer
About the role
Volunteer, remote, part-time, semester-length (fall / spring / summer). You'd be building and shipping features across the iOS app (SwiftUI) and the web platform (Next.js / TypeScript), and owning how they look and feel. Real users, real codebase, real ownership. No busywork.
Technical requirements
- Know the basics of Swift and TypeScript
- Comfortable with coding fundamentals and GitHub
- Good at vibecoding: fast with Claude Code / Cursor / similar and able to take a feature from idea to shipped
- Have built at least one thing start to finish
UI/UX
- An eye for clean, simple interfaces that teens actually want to use
- Can take a rough idea and turn it into a screen: layout, spacing, type, color, flow
- Comfortable in Figma or happy to design directly in code
- Care about the small stuff: animations, empty states, loading, edge cases
