Weatherization Technician

About the role

Join our team as a Weatherization Technician and help improve homes while making a positive impact in your community. This hands-on role is ideal for individuals with experience in construction, home improvement, or maintenance, or those eager to learn new skills in energy-saving solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install attic insulation, sidewall insulation, floor insulation, vents, weather-stripping, and other energy efficiency upgrades.
• Learn and apply weatherization techniques and home energy-saving methods.
• Safely operate power tools and specialized equipment.
• Assist with loading/unloading vehicles and managing inventory.
• Complete assigned work to quality standards.
• Participate in training programs and seminars.
• Maintain customer property and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn specialized equipment (blower doors, pressure diagnostics, digital analyzers).
• Knowledge of home improvement, carpentry, or insulation installation.
• Ability to read work orders and perform basic math for material estimates.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse customers.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in challenging environments and extreme weather.
• Comfortable working at heights (up to 4 stories) and in confined spaces (attics, crawl spaces).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
• Valid Wisconsin driver’s license, auto insurance, and good driving record.
