Primary Responsibilities
- Challenges long-held views and helps business leaders understand the changing market environment and its implications on the current business model.
- Create and oversee a customer-centric strategy focused on evolving the internal operating model across all customer touch points, ensuring transparency, accountability, and ongoing alignment.
- Communicate the vision, mission, desired outcomes, and chosen strategy clearly and develop actionable goals to translate the vision into tangible results.
- Build synergies and alignment across the Division and other core business lines, including Wealth and Commercial.
- Develop business cases and initial use cases of critical foundational capabilities needed to execute the strategic plan, such as analytics and multi-channel servicing.
- Evaluate potential business partnerships with fintechs and other outside companies to advance critical capabilities faster and more effectively.
- Engage and update business teams regularly and transfer ownership of responsibility at the appropriate time.
- Lead the Market Planning function, collaborating with stakeholders to develop comprehensive market-specific strategies and investment plans.
- Drive trade-off decisions, select a portfolio of strategic initiatives, and re-prioritize as needed.
- Ensure alignment among key stakeholders, oversee, and help ensure appropriate execution and monitoring to achieve desired business outcomes.
Scope of Responsibilities
- Facilitate strategy development, align on key decisions, and make corrective adjustments as needed.
- Provide expertise to leadership in defining resource allocation and desired outcomes.
- Foster collaboration and connectivity between the Business strategy, identifying areas of congruence and divergence, and recommending appropriate actions.
- Oversee process to evaluate trade-offs and prioritize investments.
- Champion the investment roadmap.
- Sponsor cross-functional change efforts related to strategic initiatives that may not be directly related to his/her area of responsibility.
- Identify and assess capabilities and partnerships that enhance the strategy.
- Manage vendor management activities, including risk management, reviews, evaluations, and establishing new relationships as needed.
- Facilitate data-driven decisions, monitor efficacy of choices, and enable a culture of test & learn.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis.
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 10 years banking or finance experience, or a combined minimum of 14 years’ higher education and/or work experience.
- Proven financial modeling skillset.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong analytic, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Education and Experience Preferred
- Able to present to executive management.
- Able to be a team player.
- Able to interact with all levels of personnel.
- Able to work individually as well as a member of a team.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA).
- Tableau proficiency.
Physical Requirements
- Periodic travel required.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $170,300.00 - $283,800.00 Annual (USD).
