About the role

The Wealth Management Post Underwriter supports the Commercial Post Underwriting function within Wealth Management by managing the loan fulfillment process following underwriting approval. This role serves as a key partner to bankers, documentation preparation teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure approved loans progress efficiently through documentation, execution, and funding.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing approved loan packages and supporting documentation
  • Entering and maintaining information within internal systems
  • Coordinating with documentation preparation partners
  • Validating completed loan documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Working closely with bankers throughout the document execution process
  • Identifying and resolving documentation deficiencies
  • Helping ensure loans meet all requirements for funding readiness
  • Supporting the Bank's risk management, operational, and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in business, finance, or related field, equivalent professional experience considered
  • Two to three or more years of experience in loan documentation, loan operations or related banking functions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of loan documentation requirements, including collateral, vesting, and ownership structures
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable banking regulations, policies, and compliance standards
  • Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement in identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Proficiency in banking systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a regulated, fast-paced environment

Location expectations

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
