As part of our advanced planning team, the Planning Strategist plays a mission-critical role in bringing this vision to life.
Responsibilities
- Lead Advanced, High-Net-Worth Planning
- Serve as the primary planning strategist for a select group of high-net-worth clients with complex needs.
- Proactively identify and execute planning opportunities, ensuring clients receive forward-thinking, integrated guidance.
- Partner closely with advisory teams to design, present, and implement comprehensive planning strategies.
- Deliver a Seamless And Sophisticated Client Experience
- Guide new high-net-worth clients through a smooth onboarding and discovery process.
- Ensure all planning engagements are delivered with precision, clarity, and adherence to “The Savant Way” and our service model standards.
- Serve as a trusted planning resource for advisors and clients, attending meetings and handling planning-related inquiries.
- Strengthen Collaboration Across the Firm
- Work in concert with planners, financial planning associates, tax specialists, and other subject-matter experts to advance client outcomes.
- Participate in planning discussions for new prospects and new client opportunities.
- Support the advisory team with timely analyses, follow-up work, and planning deliverables.
- Be a Thought Leader and Knowledge Builder
- Develop educational content, blogs, analyses, and webinar presentations that position Savant as a leader in planning excellence.
- Offer insights and expertise for internal training, elevating the skillset and confidence of planners and advisors.
- Contribute to updates and enhancements to internal processes, tools, and planning best practices.
- Mentor, Develop, And Elevate Others
- Serve as a role model and mentor for planning team members, fostering a culture rooted in growth, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
- Provide hands-on coaching and real-time feedback to help team members develop planning acumen and professional maturity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years delivering comprehensive financial planning services.
- Experience with complex financial planning and wealth management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of financial planning software and tools.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation preferred.
