Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a market growth strategy focused on expanding Sequoia's presence and brand awareness within an assigned territory.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, centers of influence, professional advisors, and strategic business partners to generate new client opportunities.
- Cultivate relationships with existing referral channels and represent Sequoia at client events, educational programs, and networking opportunities.
- Identify, qualify, and advance prospective client opportunities through the sales and relationship development process.
- Partner with Wealth Advisors and specialists in prospective client meetings to understand client goals, identify planning opportunities, and demonstrate Sequoia's capabilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for referral partners and key business development relationships within the market.
- Coordinate with Wealth Advisors, Investment Management, Wealth Planning, Tax, Estate Planning, and Family Office teams to develop solutions for prospective clients.
- Facilitate a seamless transition of new client relationships to the Wealth Advisor team following onboarding.
- Maintain a select group of client relationships and provide ongoing wealth management advice and planning support as appropriate.
- Utilize CRM tools and business development processes to manage pipeline activity, referral sources, and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to identify growth opportunities and execute strategic initiatives within the market.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial advisory, business development, or relationship management.
- Demonstrated success developing professional relationships and generating new client opportunities.
- Strong understanding of investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax-efficient wealth strategies.
- Excellent networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and professional referral sources.
- CFP®, CFA®, CPA, or other advanced professional designation required.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
