Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a market growth strategy focused on expanding Sequoia's presence and brand awareness within an assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referral partners, centers of influence, professional advisors, and strategic business partners to generate new client opportunities.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing referral channels and represent Sequoia at client events, educational programs, and networking opportunities.
  • Identify, qualify, and advance prospective client opportunities through the sales and relationship development process.
  • Partner with Wealth Advisors and specialists in prospective client meetings to understand client goals, identify planning opportunities, and demonstrate Sequoia's capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referral partners and key business development relationships within the market.
  • Coordinate with Wealth Advisors, Investment Management, Wealth Planning, Tax, Estate Planning, and Family Office teams to develop solutions for prospective clients.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition of new client relationships to the Wealth Advisor team following onboarding.
  • Maintain a select group of client relationships and provide ongoing wealth management advice and planning support as appropriate.
  • Utilize CRM tools and business development processes to manage pipeline activity, referral sources, and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify growth opportunities and execute strategic initiatives within the market.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in wealth management, financial advisory, business development, or relationship management.
  • Demonstrated success developing professional relationships and generating new client opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax-efficient wealth strategies.
  • Excellent networking, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and professional referral sources.
  • CFP®, CFA®, CPA, or other advanced professional designation required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
