About the role
The Wealth Advisor analyzes and interprets clients’ investment objectives and risk tolerances and provides individual investment advice suitable for those objectives and tolerances. The advisor utilizes their expertise and knowledge of the securities industry and market strategies to offer sound financial advice.
Responsibilities
- Acts in the best interest of the client and delivers outstanding service.
- Develops and maintains an increasing client base by using well-developed market knowledge, strategies, and sales skills.
- Maintains product knowledge and stays current of market activity and news affecting the markets.
- Ensures that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and written procedures related to the securities industry, including completion of required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of experience as a financial advisor.
- Series 7 and 63 license.
- Ability to handle a high-stress environment.
- Must display professional conduct and appearance.
- Maintain client privacy and keep highly sensitive data confidential.
- Excellent PC knowledge—proficiency with MS Office programs such as Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, journals, or government regulations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and/or legal documents.
- Ability to write simple-to-business correspondence and routine reports.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to speak effectively, present information, and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, employees, managers, top management, boards of directors, and the general public.
