About the role

We are seeking a proactive and client-focused Wealth Planner to join our advisory team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in financial planning who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary advisor and relationship manager on key client relationships providing wealth management and investment advice to ultra-high net worth and high net worth clients.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service and proactive communication by managing all aspects of the client relationship experience with both internal and external teams.
  • Cook up and lead the delivery of Corient’s full spectrum of client solutions—including investment management, financial planning, tax strategy, family office services, wealth transfer, and trustee support—to ensure a seamless and holistic client experience.
  • Through a robust discovery process, identify and prioritize key client investment and wealth planning needs and objectives. With the client’s input, determine short and long-term deliverables and develop a plan to accomplish them.
  • Contribute to business development efforts by cultivating client referral sources, building centers of influence and participating in thought leadership.
  • Mentor and support Associate Wealth Advisors and Associate Wealth Planners.
  • Stay current on finance markets, tax laws, and planning strategies to provide informed advice.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in Wealth Management or similar role; experience with high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients required.
  • CFP, CFA, CPA, JD, or MBA required.
  • Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering comprehensive advice.
  • Strong growth mindset with a focus on winning and retaining clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ethical and professional behavior, adhering to industry regulations and compliance standards.
