What You'll Do

  • Manage a workers' compensation defense caseload representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.
  • Appear before the California Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB) for hearings, conferences and trials.
  • Take and defend applicant and physician depositions.
  • Develop litigation strategies, evaluate exposure, and negotiate favorable resolutions.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, and legal correspondence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients through proactive communication and practical legal guidance.

What We're Looking For

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Experience practicing California workers' compensation law (defense experience preferred but not required).
  • Strong litigation, writing, negotiation, and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to independently manage a caseload while working collaboratively with a supportive team.
