Responsibilities

• Ordering and shelving stock goods and food items
• Completing get-ready and sanitizing procedures
• Assembly of portions / bag lunches / special items
• Setting up the serving line
• Clean up and re-set
• Record keeping
• Cashiering as scheduled
• Performing related duties of comparable skill level contributing to effective, efficient, and safe preparation and delivery of school nutrition products and/or services
• Developing and maintaining knowledge of department and District policies and procedures, complying with them
• Conferring with supervisor to ensure correct understanding of work, priorities, and additional information
• Developing and maintaining cooperative, productive workplace relationships
• Performing a variety of basic responsibilities outlined in the basic function as scheduled according to established procedures and protocols
• Performing additional comparable duties related to preparation, serving, and clean up of planned meals for school and/or community special events
• Attending designated and approved in-service or out-of-District training classes and workshops
• Keeping immediate supervisor informed of important matters to help minimize downtime or safety problems
• Performing other kindred job duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Requirements

• Previous food service experience desired
• Basic math and computational skills required

Skills

• Ability to communicate directions, ideas, and concepts
• Ability to perform computer entry and use institutional food service equipment
• All new food service employees must pass a pre-placement physical arranged through the district

Pay

Starting wage: $24.18/hour

Schedule

5.5 hours per day (approximate start and end time: 8:00 am – 1:30 pm)
