WAX INSPECTOR - Plant 3
About the Role
This off-shift position will be located in Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operation, and inspects cored wax patterns and/or cores using nondestructive testing (radiography) to discover detrimental discontinuities, inclusions, and other irregularities below the surfaces. The role includes conducting quality audits, dispositioning (accepting or rejecting) according to engineering specifications, and performing visual inspection on all DS and SC wax clusters prior to dipping them into the monoshell slurry, sorting out those requiring rework.
Responsibilities
- Inspect cored wax patterns and/or cores using nondestructive testing (radiography).
- Conduct quality audits.
- Disposition (accept or reject) parts according to engineering specifications.
- Perform visual inspection on all DS and SC wax clusters prior to dipping into monoshell slurry.
- Sort out clusters requiring rework.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of work experience; or six months of continuous manufacturing experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (verification of employment eligibility required at the time of hire).
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous industrial x-ray experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and have good communication skills.
