Waterjet Programmer/Operator - FIRST SHIFT

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create 2D / 3D CAD layouts along with manual part layouts
• Create waterjet programs along with work holding solutions
• Set Up, adjust, operate and maintain two OMAX water jets
• Perform sawing operations when required – Band Saw and Abrasive Saw
• Interpret and validate complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure all customer requirements are maintained
• Develop and refine cut up processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput
• Perform advanced inspections and quality checks using CMMs and other precision instruments
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining and programming issues
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to support new product introductions and process validations
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to team members
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for quality or production issues

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintain compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100) and internal procedures
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to lean manufacturing efforts

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred
• 5+ years of waterjet programming, CAD or related experience
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex blueprints and GD&T
• Skilled in using advanced inspection tools and techniques
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming
• Familiarity with AS9100 and other aerospace quality systems
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision work
