Water/Wastewater Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid in developing and managing water/wastewater programs with a focus on treatment, management, and reuse.
• Engage in treatment plant process evaluations and troubleshooting, feasibility studies, bench scale and pilot scale studies, design, plant operation, and regulatory negotiation/permitting.
• Collaborate with the design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to produce detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Meet project deadlines and adhere to project budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.
• Master's degree in Environmental Engineering (preferred).
• 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in public sector water and wastewater projects.
• Virginia FE license required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with modeling and GIS software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills with clients, coworkers, subconsultants, and county/agency review staff.
• Water/wastewater infrastructure experience is a plus.

Benefits

The projected range for this position is $86,000 - $110,000 annually. Depending upon other factors, such as skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
